The Tools I Actually Use
With Every Client

You don't need 1,000 apps — you need the right ones. Every tool on this page is organized by the same six-pillar framework I apply across every Shopify growth engagement. No noise, no filler, no tools I don't personally trust.

The Foundation — Store & Operations

Your Shopify store is the aircraft. Before you can climb altitude, the platform needs to be solid, fast, and built to scale. These are the tools I trust across every client engagement to keep the foundation airtight.

All in One Accessibility

ADA / WCAG

Accessibility isn't optional — ADA lawsuits against eCommerce stores are real, and an accessible store converts better for everyone. My standard recommendation for getting a Shopify store compliant fast, with a remediation team behind it.

Best for: Every store — compliance protection and a better experience for all shoppers
Explore Accessibility

Bulk Product Edit

Catalog Ops

Save hours on catalog management. Update prices, tags, metafields, and SEO fields across your entire product catalog in bulk — without touching a spreadsheet or hiring a dev.

Best for: Stores with large catalogs or frequent pricing and content updates
Explore Bulk Edit

Globo Product Options

Catalog Ops

Shopify caps you at 3 options and 100 variants per product — Globo removes the ceiling. Unlimited custom options with text fields, image uploads, swatches, and date pickers, plus priced add-ons like gift wrap and engraving that quietly lift order value.

Best for: Personalized, made-to-order, or option-heavy products beyond Shopify's variant limits
Explore Globo

Google Workspace

Ops Essential

The operational backbone every brand needs. Custom domain email, shared Docs, Drive storage, and team calendars. If you're still running a business from a personal Gmail, this is the fix.

Best for: Professional presence, organized ops, and team collaboration

Instrument Panel — Analytics & Tracking

You can't navigate by gut feel at altitude. The Instrument Panel pillar is about getting clean, trustworthy data before making any growth decisions. One source of truth. No guesswork.

🎯

Mo's Tracking Standard: Shopify native analytics is the primary source of truth — not GA4, not Triple Whale. For Google Ads, the only Primary conversion action is Google Shopping App Purchase via the Shopify Google & YouTube app. Everything else is Secondary or deleted. Clean signal hygiene before any Smart Bidding work begins.

Supporting Signal

Bing Webmaster Tools

Free

Bing's index doesn't just power Bing anymore — it feeds ChatGPT search and Microsoft Copilot. If your store isn't indexed here, AI assistants may not be able to find it. Free visibility data for the fastest-growing discovery channel there is.

Best for: AI search visibility, Bing/Yahoo/DuckDuckGo organic performance, indexing checks
Open Bing Webmaster
Primary Signal

Google Ads Reporting

Paid Traffic

Native Google Ads reporting is the standard for paid traffic analysis. ROAS, cost-per-conversion, impression share, and auction insights — pulled directly, no third-party dependency. Smart Bidding needs clean signals first.

Best for: Campaign performance, bid strategy decisions, budget allocation
Open Google Ads
Primary Signal

Klaviyo Analytics

Email / SMS

Flow revenue, campaign attribution, list growth, and engagement — all in Klaviyo natively. The email and SMS channel reporting is clean, Shopify-synced, and the only place I pull retention metrics from.

Best for: Email and SMS revenue attribution, flow performance, list health
Explore Klaviyo
Supporting Signal

Microsoft Clarity

Free

Free heatmaps, session recordings, rage-click and dead-click detection — my standard behavioral analytics tool on every CRO engagement. It shows you exactly where visitors hesitate, get frustrated, and drop off, at zero monthly cost.

Best for: Heatmaps, rage clicks, scroll depth analysis — zero cost

Is your tracking actually trustworthy? Most stores are making decisions from broken or misleading data. A Flight Hour audit starts with a full instrument panel check.

Traffic & Demand — SEO, AI Search, Paid & Wholesale

Revenue growth requires qualified demand — and where shoppers find you is changing fast. This pillar covers the tools I use to build visibility in Google, Bing, and the AI assistants shoppers increasingly buy through, plus paid search and wholesale marketplaces — prioritized by 80/20 impact, not channel hype.

🔍 SEO & AI Search Visibility
AI Search

Semrush

The suite I run on every client account — AI search visibility tracking (is ChatGPT recommending your brand?), keyword research, competitor gap analysis, and position tracking. Powers the organic and AI search side of every ECOMflight audit.

Explore Semrush ↗
AI Search

Shopify Knowledge Base

Free, first-party Shopify app that shows you what AI shopping agents are asking about your store — and lets you control the answers. When ChatGPT tells a shopper about your return policy, this is where that answer comes from. It won't make AI recommend you more often, but it makes sure AI gets your brand right when it does.

Explore Knowledge Base ↗
AI Search

Schema Markup Validator

Free validator I run to confirm structured data — FAQ, Product, Review markup — is actually live and readable. Schema is how search engines and AI assistants understand your pages; broken markup means invisible content. I check it on every SEO and AI search audit.

Open Validator ↗
Technical

Screaming Frog

Desktop crawler for technical SEO audits. Catches broken links, duplicate content, missing metadata, and redirect chains before they tank rankings — in Google and in the AI crawlers that follow. Essential for site migrations.

Explore Screaming Frog ↗
💰 Paid Traffic Channels
Google Ads

Google Ads

Performance Max, Standard Shopping, and Search — the primary paid growth lever for every Shopify client I work with. Smart Bidding requires clean conversion signals before launch.

Open Google Ads ↗
GMC

Google Merchant Center

Sync your Shopify catalog via the Google & YouTube app. Feed quality directly impacts Shopping ad performance — product taxonomy, titles, and image quality all matter here.

Open Merchant Center ↗
Feed Ops

Simprosys Google Shopping Feed

My go-to for complex catalogs where the native Google & YouTube app hits its limits — granular feed rules, custom labels, and multi-channel feed management that give Shopping campaigns the data structure they deserve.

Explore Simprosys ↗
Bing Ads

Microsoft Advertising

Underrated channel with lower CPCs and a high-intent, higher-income audience your competitors ignore. I build Bing campaigns natively — never lazy Google Ads imports — because the audiences and auction behave differently and deserve their own strategy.

Open Microsoft Ads ↗
Tracking

Microsoft Channel App

The conversion tracking standard for Bing — connects your Shopify store to Microsoft Merchant Center and feeds accurate purchase data back to Microsoft Ads. Clean signals, same rule as Google: tracking first, scaling second.

Explore Microsoft Channel ↗
🏬 Wholesale, Marketplaces & Referral
Wholesale

Faire

The wholesale marketplace connecting independent brands with thousands of retail buyers. A whole new demand channel without new ad spend — your products on real shelves, ordered in wholesale quantities. Syncs with Shopify so inventory and orders stay in one place.

Explore Faire ↗
Referral

UpPromote

Affiliate and ambassador marketing for Shopify — turn your happiest customers into a commission-based sales force. Word-of-mouth traffic converts at a rate paid ads can only dream about, and your best repeat buyers are already doing the recommending for free.

Explore UpPromote ↗

Traffic without conversion is just an expensive hobby. Before scaling ad spend, we audit your traffic structure, feed quality, and tracking — then build a plan that actually compounds.

Revenue on Autopilot — Email, SMS, Subscriptions & Retention

The highest-ROI growth lever most brands aren't fully using. Automated email and SMS flows recover abandoned revenue, subscriptions turn repeat buyers into recurring orders, and it all generates sales while you sleep — no ad spend required.

📬 Mo's Klaviyo Flow Build Order — ROI Priority

These four flows are built in this sequence across every client. The order matters — each one stacks on the last.

1

Abandoned Checkout

Highest-intent abandoners. 3-email sequence, urgency-forward, revenue-first.

2

Abandoned Cart

Caught before checkout. Emphasis on social proof and removing friction.

3

Browse Abandonment

Earlier in funnel. Product-specific re-engagement with light urgency.

4

Exit Intent

Last chance capture. Pair with an exit intent popup — no entry popups.

Appstle Subscriptions

Subscriptions

Subscribe & save without the enterprise price tag. Recurring orders, build-a-box, customer portal, and dunning — with zero transaction fees and a free plan until it's earning. Syncs with Klaviyo so subscription events power your flows.

Best for: Brands with replenishable products ready to turn repeat buyers into recurring revenue
Explore Appstle

STOQ

Back in Stock

Restock alerts that sell inventory the moment it lands. Klaviyo can handle back-in-stock natively, but for stores that sell out regularly, STOQ's polished notify-me widget and SMS-first alerts capture demand you'd otherwise lose — revenue from a restock email you never had to send.

Best for: Stores with frequent sell-outs, limited drops, or handmade inventory
Explore STOQ

Shopify Email

Starter Option

The honest starting point. If your list is under ~500 subscribers, Shopify's built-in email does the job for free — campaigns, basic automations, no new platform to learn. When your list grows and flows become your revenue engine, graduate to Klaviyo.

Best for: Early-stage stores building their first list — before Klaviyo makes sense
Explore Shopify Email

OrderlyEmails

Transactional

Brand your Shopify notification emails — order confirmations, shipping updates, delivery alerts — with on-brand design and built-in upsell blocks. Transactional emails have the highest open rates of anything you send.

Best for: Post-purchase experience and passive repeat-purchase nudges
Explore OrderlyEmails

Most brands leave 20–30% of revenue on the table in email alone. A Flight Hour audit reviews your current flows, identifies gaps, and maps a build plan prioritized by ROI.

Conversion & AOV — CRO & Order Value

More traffic solves nothing if the store doesn't convert. This pillar focuses on removing friction, building trust, and increasing the value of every transaction — the highest-leverage work in any Shopify growth engagement.

📱

Mobile-First Always

70%+ of Shopify traffic is mobile. Every CRO recommendation starts with mobile experience, not desktop.

🙅

No Entry Popups

Exit-intent only. Entry popups damage conversion rates. This is a hard line across all client stores.

💬

Pain → Transformation

Product-centric copy doesn't convert. Customer transformation does. We reframe before we redesign.

Shopify Bundles

Bundles / AOV

Shopify's free, first-party bundling app — fixed bundles and multipacks with real-time inventory sync, so components never oversell. I build bundles from co-purchase data: your order history tells us exactly which products sell together, and bundles turn that pattern into higher order values.

Best for: Data-driven fixed bundles and multipacks — the classic AOV lever, at zero app cost
Explore Shopify Bundles

AfterSell

Post-Purchase AOV

One-click post-purchase upsells shown after payment — the customer accepts without re-entering card details or going back through checkout. The original order is already locked in, so there's zero risk to conversion. Pure AOV lift at the moment buyers are most committed.

Best for: Adding upsell revenue after the sale with no friction before it
Explore AfterSell

Small CVR improvements compound fast at scale. A Flight Hour CRO audit identifies the highest-leverage fixes on your site — no generic checklist, just what matters for your specific store.

Shopify's free, native automation builder — and my standard for real-time store alerts. Low-stock warnings, high-value order flags, customer tagging, fraud checks — all triggered automatically inside Shopify, no third-party middleware or monthly fee required.

Best for: Real-time operational alerts and store automations at zero cost
Explore Shopify Flow

Fathom

Session Recorder

Every client session is recorded and AI-summarized with Fathom — it rides along on our Zoom calls, then delivers action items, decisions, and key moments to your inbox within minutes of hanging up. You focus on the conversation; the notes take themselves.

Best for: Never losing a decision or action item from a strategy session
